UA households are scheduled to receive their summer, semi-annual Utility Invoice from the City late June/early July. This invoice includes the Solid Waste fee, the Stormwater Utility fee and, in some cases, a Neighborhood Lighting Utility fee. A brochure detailing useful information about the City’s Solid Waste program, along with recycling guidelines from the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) is included with this invoice.
Payment can be made by mail using the envelope provided with the invoice, online or in person, by visiting the Customer Service Desk at 3600 Tremont Road during regular office hours. Payment is due by July 27, 2018.
The Solid Waste and Utility fees apply to every household—single family homes, apartments and condominiums. The fees run with the property and the City will not prorate the amount due should the property change hands during the year. Effective August 3, 2018, a 10% penalty will be added to any delinquent balances. Later in August, any delinquent balances will be added to the property tax bill as a special assessment, for collection in 2019. Any households registered for Solid Waste Premium Service that have a delinquent balance will no longer receive this extra service.
Solid Waste Sticker Reimbursement
June 1, 2018 was the deadline for residents to submit any unused Solid Waste Stickers from the previous Solid Waste Program. A credit will be reflected on this invoice for households that submitted unused stickers.
Solid Waste Senior Discount
A discount on the Solid Waste base fee will be reflected on this invoice for Senior Discount applications received by June 1, 2018.
